Beautiful place to see fall colors. Breathtaking views. We enjoyed our visit here. Drove up to the summit up on the hill. Very peaceful and claming experience. We have one thing to say though. There are no instructions for new drivers about how to drive on the skyline drive. I think they should mention that in the toll house. Just for the information people should drive on the low gear while driving down. Or else, you will burn your break pads off. That's what happened with us. It will take all the fun away when you see smoke coming out your car.
Great drive. If you have automatic old car learn how to drive downhill in manual mode else your breaks will be gone :)
Very enjoyable ride. The views were spectacular. The road was narrow and many hairpin turns.
While the drive itself is scenic, the cost of entering this private area is extremely prohibitive. There are enough free hikes in the area with comparable views.
